Kangaroo Extrusion is an extrusion that can be used with standard thickness panels to build custom size covers, guards, enclosures and more. The goal is to provide a product that makes it easier to make a custom box, enclosure, or similar item.

There are currently several ways to build a custom box or enclosure, but up until now getting a custom box made typically involved sheet metal work via a sheet metal fabricator. The advantage of using Kangaroo Extrusion is you can make any custom box using four pieces fabricated from Kangaroo Extrusion material and then add 6 panels to make a box. There is still work involved but we feel this simplifies building a custom box.

Before you decide that this is the way to go there are a couple things to discuss;

1. You most likely will need access to a milling machine or similar equipment in order to fabricate corner pieces out of Kangaroo Extrusion. Operations include drilling & tapping holes and cutting the extrusion to length. Currently Kangaroo Extrusion does not offer off-the-shelf pre-fabricated corner pieces, however we are looking into it as a future offering.

2. Cut panels with holes or cut & bent panels with holes are typically needed. There are several companies that you can use to get laser cut panels made quickly and cost effectively. Some of them are as follows:

3. Box / enclosure design. Below are some examples of how you might build a box using Kangaroo Extrusion.
